Ingredients

  • 2 8 ct. reduced-fat crescent roll dough
  • 1 package turkey hot dogs (about 8-10 links) (see blog post for more information)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400° F and spray a 9" pie dish (or springform pan) with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. Pop out the crescent roll dough and separate into individual triangles. Cut each triangle in half down the middle so you have two skinny triangles. After preparing all the dough, you should have 32 skinny triangles.
  3. Remove the hot dogs from the packaging and slice into 32 equal mini hot dogs.*
  4. Place one mini hot dog on the bottom edge of each triangle and roll. Repeat with each hot dog, then place upright in a circle in the greased pan until all the "pigs" are in the dish. Spray the tops with cooking spray and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake uncovered for 15 minutes.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces!

Notes

*The brand I bought came with 10 hot dogs in one package, so I sliced two hot dogs into four pieces, then the remaining hot dogs into three pieces. Just know that you need exactly 32 mini hot dogs.
